My photographs are an aesthetic representation of things that I like and that make me think.
My photography focuses on deeply reflecting the rich texture of nomadic life and its effects on individuals. By documenting the daily lives, struggles and hopes of nomadic families living in various provinces and districts of Thrace, I aim to tell their stories through my images. These families often make a living from weaving and selling baskets and work in seasonal jobs. Their educational process is irregular as they are constantly migrating. Although their education is hampered by the harsh living conditions and the ever-changing environment, the children's smiles and hopes are always there.
As Henri Cartier-Bresson said, "A photograph must capture the 'moment'; This includes not only the visible, but also the invisible." In my photographs, I do not focus on the surface of nomadic life, but on its deeper aspects and the hopes reflected in the bright eyes of children. In each frame, I aim to reveal the essence and spirit of this lifestyle, showcasing the smiles and joy that persist despite the challenges.
Ultimately, I hope that each photograph presents the challenges and beauty of these people's lives as a true 'moment' and allows viewers to gain a deeper understanding of this world.
