In France since 2007. Born in 1980.
Only child. Mother: employee in a small firm. Father: military, used to be an administrator in a society for the stock market.

I was born in a little town close to Shanghai. I studied commercial law because there is a lot of demand for that, especially in import-export. I decided to go study in Scotland in September 2005. You have to gain different experiences to get a good job later on… I went back to Shanghai after a year and a half. My parents advised me to stop studying and start working. They help me financially.

Finally I set out for France in October 2007… In Paris the lodging, paperwork, banks, administrative procedures are really difficult. Nothing is fast, the opposite of China. I want to get a masters degree in law and go back to China.

When I arrived here I didn’t suffer a cultural shock. Learning French is key to live well in France. It is the country that opposes Americans and the Chinese like that. The French have free sort of thought. In China, like everywhere else, it isn´t good to change the political system as a whole, it has to be improved step by step.
