In Francia since 2000. Born in 1973.
Only child. Parents: university professors.

My parents teach Chinese literature… I was educated on the university campus, inside that small bubble. I was educated in a cultural model of excellence… Coming to France led to many ruptures… of that which isn’t evident. They have chosen a school for me, the School of Mining of Paris.

What has marked me since my arrival in Paris is the disorder… It is disorderly and dirty… I despise the grumpy personality of the French but I value that they are proud of their culture and enracinamiento… Today’s streets have the same names as in the novels of Alexander Dumas. It is wonderful to me… Ah, and you have to notice the French bureaucracy as well: to make my student residence card they asked for a bank certificate and to open a bank account they asked for a residency permit. There all lots of ridiculous things like that.

For my work I have to go to many places in the Schengen space. Even while I have a residence permit I have to renew it every year, each time I ask for a visa it is a show, complex an expensive procedure… However, I feel good in France, I have friends… Working conditions are good… 5 weeks of holidays… in China you get 7 days. I have no need to go to China, only to visit my family.

I would like to bring things of traditional China, values like respect for elders, for the promises made. For me those are Chinese values… it probably isn’t like that anymore… In my business there is a project to work in China. I would like to be that bridge, help communicate. I lost the French nationality to make my activities easier. I might start to feel French, I might stand still and grow roots.
