On the Margin is the story of my grandmother in the last years of her life. 

 Since her husband died, she lived alone in a tiny village in southern Italy. 

She died at the age of 90, alone in a hospital in Sapri. My grandmother was a courageous, strong and the most beautiful woman I have ever known. It is with respect and love that I photographed these moments.
