Manifesto of Objects Abandoned by their Subjects

  • The subject of my photo series are objects that have no longer been functional and have been abandoned by the people to whom they belong.

  • In today's world, where we are surrounded by objects more and more quickly, it is obvious that owned "things" have become ordinary and less owned. Today humans have to live in a world where the lifetime of use is getting shorter day by day and where new and superior models are being produced more rapidly.

  • Every object has an existence and an essence. Essence is an immutable totality of the properties of an object; existence is its real presence in the universe.

  • Things, like people, have a certain historical, cultural, sociological existence in the world. The fact that they have a past requires that they be reconsidered in every period depending on time and changing conditions. Some objects, which can take on human characters with their perceptual differences and can be associated with other objects on their own or through their combination, can also function as carriers and transmitters of individual's feelings and thoughts.

  • Objects in my photographs; even if they have left the lives of the people they once belonged to, and even if their existence has lost its meaning, it will remind the viewer's some memories and experiences, as if they were on a time journey.

  • Ultimately, I hope that each photograph presents the challenges and beauty of these people's lives as a true 'moment' and allows viewers to gain a deeper understanding of this world.
