Scary

This series portrays the ominous at home. The home where one grew that suddenly is seen abandoned and represented in landscapes somehow dark and hardly recognizable, some times forgotten others repressed by the unconscious.

I work mainly with film photograph because it permits a wider exploration field. I search for new different ways to present an image, playing while developing them. In this series for instance I worked out the negative and the positive of each image, what conveys more strength and stresses my intention of non to recognize immediately the space where the photo is taken, besides provides a degree of drama necessary to achieve the image's aesthetic.

I am interested in photographs beyond figuration, therefore I search for new materials and presentation forms. Actually I am working with cotton papers handmade in Japan, which contribute with texture and blurs the final image.
