Olga Ageeva

  • My name is Olga Ageeva and I am 48 years old. I live in Voronezh, Russia. I am a mother of three children. I am an economist, but photography’s been my hobby for a long time. I’ve started taking photos since I was still learning at school. I photographed my classmates and printed photos by myself. I had a really long brake, when occasionally photography came back to my life in 2012 and since that I’ve been doing this full time. I think I’ve never became a photographer, it’s only a hobby, but it seems that it will be till the end of time. Mostly I love to take photos of people, especially children, mine or friends’ ones. And I don’t really do commercial photographs. It’s not that easy to describe my style. I can be inspired by various things, have different mood, so the pictures can differ a lot. And if there’s any style in them, it’s only the depiction of my emotions and my imagination. Sometimes I don’t think at all before my finger touches the shutter release, and sometimes a jigsaw comes to my head, containing light, emotions, gestures, geometry I have to collect, and that’s what I call “the moment”. I think that photographer has to try hard not to grow as long as it’s possible.
