Erdal Kinaci

  • Born in 1966 in Malatya, Kınacı began experimenting with painting during his middle school years, which eventually evolved into a passion for photography during his university years. With his friends, he started the photography club of Cerrahpaşa Medical School, where he was a student. In the 80s, he continued his works as a member of IFSAK (Istanbul Amateur Photography and Cinema Society). His profession being a medical doctor, he has worked in several locations throughout Anatolia. Still actively working as a doctor in Mersin, he carries on his works in photography and videography. In addition to having thirteen personal exhibitions up to this date, he has participated in numerous mixed exhibitions as well. He has taught in several photography associations and societies and served as a jury in photography competitions. During his photography career, he has won more than four hundred national and international awards. Kınacı has represented his country in “people” and “nature” categories in the international photography contest organized by the National Geographic magazine and won the first place within the “people” category.
