1:1 flies and won't stop

It flies and doesn't even carry the essential baggage, it flies and flows with the low airstream hovering over the orography of a landscape consisting of living dunes which will never stop, sand dunes that strangely move around, creating and destroying shapes, images and words which are not what they used to be, which are not what they will become. And, 1:1 feels happy flying over them, wandering from one to the other, looking for nothing else but warm streams that toss us high and cool streams that swoop us down, avoiding any patterns, just like a curious traveller who visited the Prado Museum just once since they had other things to see, many things and much time as well. Newspapers readers who never visit a newspaper library nor get excited by science fiction, maybe they slightly do by the weekly weather forecast. Travellers of the today that is less shown, that is less seen.

Less interested in the reputation of the individuals, we seek for the company of accidental passengers who try to find their way sensing the airstream even when urinating, making sure their feet will keep dry, trusting the spreading power of the wind that carries everything, distributes everything, mixes everything up. 1:1 flies just because it is wind, because it never keeps anything for itself: it just blows, moves images and texts around, being a light, barely perceptible holder.

Today, we propose a special number, so we see it and smile happily and unpretentiously. We feel pleased. We are pleased because1:1 have edited 10 issues so far; this has involved more than two years of exploration, learning, studies, discussion, searching, satisfactions.... and loads of friendship and respect.

In section "We are.." 1:1 defines themselves as "a not exclusive group of photographers interested in photographic art." We are still trying to understand what art is, of course, and hope to continue searching for the different ways art appears within the photographic field for a long time.
